Job summary

Leidos seeks a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to design and support high-voltage transmission projects from 46 kV to 345 kV, including overhead and underground systems. You will apply NESC, ASCE, ACI and other standards, develop scopes, bids, plans and specs, and prepare procurement and construction documents while interfacing with clients and project teams.

This 100% remote role is based in Michigan's Lower Peninsula with regular site visits across the client’s territory; travel to supported

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 4+ years in electric utility transmission design.
• Experience reviewing full transmission line designs (PLS-CADD, foundations, materials, plans).
• Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, ASCE standards and procurement processes.
• Ability to develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
• Strong teamwork, client communication, and travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Perform design analyses and prepare bidding documents and specs.
• Draft material procurement and construction documents for HV lines.
• Interface with clients and multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Support environment permitting and construction management activities.
