Job summary

Leidos Inc is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer at Mid to Lead levels to design both overhead and underground HV/EHV systems. The role supports the South Region with hybrid and remote options, driving projects from concept to construction-ready packages.

You will apply advanced modeling tools and ensure compliance with industry standards, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with clients for successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and experience in designing electric utility transmission systems
• Expert-level or working knowledge of PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE
• Working knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE codes
• Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear project scopes and client presentations

Responsibilities

• Design overhead and underground transmission systems meeting standards (NESC, ASCE, ACI).
• Lead projects from concept routing and engineering analysis to procurement and construction-ready packages.
• Apply modeling tools (PLS-TOWER, LPILE, FAD) to solve site-specific challenges.
• Mentor engineers, manage client interfaces, and guide multi-disciplinary teams for successful delivery.
