Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team tackling challenging electric transmission projects for large utilities.

You will design HV and EHV overhead and underground systems, applying NESC and ASCE standards, and develop bidding documents, plans, and procurement packages. The role requires leadership, client communication, and the ability to coordinate with planning, environmental, and construction teams; some travel and hybrid work in Orlando area may be

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least 4 years' experience in electric utility transmission design.
• Experience reviewing full transmission line designs, including PLS-CADD models and construction packages.
• Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements; procurement and scheduling.
• Ability to develop project scopes, budgets and proposals; team and independent work.
• Strong client and project-team communication; leadership experience required for Senior role.
• Willingness to travel or work onsite in client offices.

Responsibilities

• Design HV and EHV overhead and underground transmission lines per standards.
• Prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, and procurement material.
• Interface with clients, project planning, environmental and construction teams.
• Lead and supervise team members on projects.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
