Leidos is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, focusing on high-voltage transmission line design for utility clients. You will work on overhead and underground systems, apply standards, and contribute to bidding documents, plans, and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil, preferred, or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of experience in design of electric utility transmission systems.
• Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Work effectively in a team environment; can also work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities, with focus on collaboration across client and project teams.
• Work in a client office is a possibility and/or periodic travel may be required.
• Experience with TOWER is a plus (desirable).
• EIT or PE certification is desirable.
• Experience with LPILE or FAD, Mathcad, AutoCAD or MicroStation, and GIS is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Execute technical design and engineering tasks related to high-voltage transmission lines, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations under guidance of Lead Engineers or Project Managers.
• Perform engineering analyses, including PLS-CADD modeling and structure loading calculations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by learning/applying new tools, AI, and automation platforms.
• Coordinate project progress with the Project Manager to ensure schedule and budget adherence.
• Maintain strong technical proficiency in industry-standard software and Leidos design processes.
