Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer in the United States to lead electrical design and project management of high voltage substations.

You will contribute to conceptualization, scheduling, and reporting, with travel to client sites as needed. The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and design teams and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 7+ years in design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
• Experience tracking project information such as schedules and expenditures against budgets, preparing status reports and client interface.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings created by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• ABET-accredited degree preferred.
• PE license preferred.
• AutoCAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution.
• Work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports that present technical and project information clearly and concisely for clients and S&L.
• Develop career via peer-learning through Communities of Practice.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
