Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for utility-scale projects. This role involves leading testing and commissioning for HV substations and battery systems, with approximately 20–30% travel. The position is fully remote, allowing for flexible location.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and at least 8 years of relevant experience, particularly in high voltage environments. The role requires strong safety compliance and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in testing and commissioning of HV substations.
• 3–4 years’ experience performing high voltage switching operations.
• 1–2 years of experience developing commissioning plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support testing and commissioning activities for HV substations.
• Develop Testing & Commissioning Plans aligned with requirements.
• Provide onsite training and mentor junior staff.

Skills

Technical knowledge of protection and control systems

Communication skills with Owners and Utilities

Commitment to safety
