Job summary

SOLV Energy is looking for a Commissioning Engineer responsible for leading testing and commissioning of HV substations, battery energy storage, and PV facilities. This role is fully remote but requires approximately 20–30% travel for field operations.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and have 8–10 years of experience in the industry. Benefits include medical coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in testing and commissioning of HV substations, BESS, and utility-scale PV facilities.
• 3–4 years’ experience performing and directing high voltage switching operations.
• Strong command of safety protocols in high-risk electrical environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support testing, commissioning, and energization activities for HV substations and PV facilities.
• Develop Testing & Commissioning Plans aligned with project specifications.
• Provide technical support for site events and deliver onsite training.

Skills

High voltage switching operations

Technical knowledge of protection and control systems

Education

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline

NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV)
