Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead and support the testing and commissioning of utility-scale HV substations, battery storage systems, and PV facilities. This role will involve approximately 20–30% travel and requires active participation in field operations.

The successful candidate will interface with various stakeholders and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards, while also providing onsite training and technical support.

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in high voltage operations are required.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in testing and commissioning of HV substations, BESS, and utility-scale PV facilities.
• 1–2 years of experience developing commissioning plans and procedures.
• NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed Initial Energization Procedures for HV substations.
• Lead initial energization activities, including readiness verification and field coordination.
• Provide onsite training and mentor junior staff.
