Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Engineer responsible for leading testing and commissioning activities for utility-scale high-voltage substations and battery energy storage systems. The role requires approximately 20-30% travel and expertise in high voltage operations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8-10 years of experience in related fields and will engage with project management and stakeholders to ensure compliance and safety. SOLV Energy offers a competitive salary range from $115,576 to $141,581 along with comprehensive employee benefits.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in testing and commissioning of HV substations, BESS, and utility-scale PV facilities.
• 3-4 years of experience performing and directing high voltage switching operations.
• NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, commissioning, and initial energization activities for HV substations and BESS.
• Develop Testing & Commissioning Plans and Detailed Initial Energization Procedures.
• Provide onsite training and mentor junior staff.
