Job summary

SOLV Energy is hiring a Commissioning Engineer responsible for leading testing, commissioning, and initial energization activities for utility-scale high-voltage substations and battery energy storage systems. The role requires 20-30% travel and serves as a key technical interface among stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 8–10 years of relevant experience. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety are necessary, along with NETA certification.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in testing and commissioning HV substations, BESS, and utility-scale PV facilities.
• 3–4 years’ experience performing and directing high voltage switching operations.
• NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV).

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, commissioning, and initial energization for HV substations.
• Develop and execute detailed Initial Energization Procedures.
• Provide on-call technical support for site events.
