Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an Electrical SME for power generation to serve as the technical authority on high voltage electrical systems in gas turbine generator packages. You will lead architecture standardization, involve protection studies, FAT support, commissioning, field troubleshooting, and lifecycle engineering to deliver safe, reliable solutions.

The role requires deep expertise in 35–70+ MW generators, strong in protection coordination, and mentoring across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of progressive electrical engineering experience in power generation.
• Experience with 35–70+ MW class medium/high voltage generators.
• Knowledge of generator and power system protection and coordination.
• Ability to review single line diagrams, schematics, and datasheets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for high voltage power generation systems.
• Develop and standardize electrical system architectures.
• Provide support during FAT, commissioning, startup, and field operations.
• Mentor engineering teams to improve safety and reliability.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and company requirements.
