Job summary

PwrQ Holdings LLC is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to serve as the technical authority for complex field service, commissioning, and modernization work on MV/HV power systems. You will lead on-site teams, ensure safe work execution, and drive quality, schedule adherence, and continuous improvement.

The role requires 11+ years of relevant field experience or an aligned degree with demonstrated expertise, strong safety practices, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of field experience with MV/HV switchgear, protection and control systems.
• Ability to lead field crews and manage on-site execution for complex commissioning and service events.
• Strong electrical safety knowledge (NFPA 70E/OSHA).
• Ability to read, troubleshoot, and redline schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Willingness to travel 50–80% and obtain DOT qualifications when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and startup of complete electrical systems with acceptance testing.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for protection and control issues.
• Plan and perform advanced diagnostics for equipment and protection/control faults.
• Lead transformer diagnostics, testing, and condition assessment.
• Direct testing activities and field leadership during outages and turnarounds.
