Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager in Houston, TX to lead the electrical engineering function for power generation equipment and related systems. You will guide design, development, and lifecycle support, ensuring compliance with codes and industry standards, while collaborating with mechanical, controls, manufacturing, and field teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience in power generation, energy, oil and gas, microgrids, or heavy industrial environments.
Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities across multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with medium voltage systems and protective relays.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and technical oversight for the Electrical Engineering team across product lifecycles.
Ensure electrical designs meet applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
Review vendor drawings, submittals, and calculations for compliance.
Mentor and develop Electrical Engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Support FAT, commissioning, energization, and field troubleshooting to ensure reliable operation.
