Job summary

FloridaCommerce in Tallahassee seeks a Senior Management Analyst Supervisor (SES) to oversee employee relations, disciplinary actions, and counsel on rules and policies. The role requires coordination with General Counsel and senior leadership to ensure compliance and effective HR management.

The incumbent will manage investigations, grievances, and training plans, while providing guidance to managers and staff on performance and disciplinary procedures under state personnel rules and bargaining

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of state and federal employment law.
• Expertise advising and coaching managers and employees at all levels.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer application skills, working knowledge/experience using Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee employee relations, counseling, reprimands, suspensions, dismissals, and disciplinary actions.
• Provide guidance on Career Service Rules, Collective Bargaining, and department policies.
• Assist in determining levels of disciplinary action and in pre-determination conferences.
• Draft letters of intended disciplinary action and final action for review by General Counsel and Senior Leaders.
