FloridaCommerce in Tallahassee is seeking a Senior Management Analyst Supervisor (SES) to lead the Bureau of Human Resource Management and Employee Relations. The role requires guiding disciplinary actions, advising managers, and ensuring compliance with Career Service Rules and bargaining agreements.

The incumbent will manage investigations, training programs, grievances, and EAP coordination, and will work with General Counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of state and federal employment law.
• Expertise advising and coaching managers and employees at all levels.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer applications, working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Ability to communicate clearly in individual and group settings, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to utilize problem‑solving techniques.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and providing excellent service.
• Skilled in group presentations, workshop instruction and/or facilitation.
• Ability to deal with the public tactfully and effectively.
• Knowledge of counseling and case management principles.
• Ability to conduct effective interviews.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
• Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently at times.

Responsibilities

• Manage all facets of employee relations, including disciplinary actions and counseling.
• Provide guidance to managers on Career Service Rules, bargaining agreements and department policies.
• Assist in determining disciplinary actions and related dates (suspension/dismissal).
• Assist in pre‑determination conferences and maintain disciplinary files.
• Support the Office of General Counsel and Civil Rights as needed for appealable actions.
• Provide guidance on performance improvement plans for underperforming employees.
• Assist with grievance reviews and recommendations.
• Coordinate investigations related to Employee Relations and ensure proper documentation.
