Job summary

The New York State Unified Court System is seeking two (2) Senior Court Analysts (HR Operations) in the Office of Court Administration, Division of Human Resources. These positions are located in Albany, Manhattan, Binghamton, Buffalo, or Rochester NY.

They support statewide processing and compliance for certification lists, nominations, and Court Officer hiring/onboarding. The roles handle high-volume personnel transactions and maintain accuracy across workflows.

Qualifications

• One year in the Court Analyst title; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in Public or Business Administration from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of relevant experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performing day‑to‑day processing tasks for the Certs Team, Nominations Team, and Court Officer Processing Team.
• Entering and reviewing certification and nomination transactions to ensure compliance with civil service rules, appointment policies, and PeopleSoft requirements.
• Assisting with Court Officer onboarding activities, including preparing documentation for appointments, transfers, and auto promotions.
• Following standardized procedures and reporting outdated or inconsistent practices to supervisors.
• Providing routine technical and administrative support to staff and court personnel regarding personnel transaction processes.
• Assisting with training and onboarding activities by preparing materials and supporting workflow demonstrations.
• Monitoring assigned work queues, running basic reports, and identifying issues that require elevation to senior staff.
• Supporting increased hiring cycles and expanded academy schedules through timely processing and coordination of assigned tasks.
• Completing clerical and analytical tasks, including data verification, documentation review, and system entry across multiple HR platforms.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Master's degree in Public or Business Administration from an accredited college or university
