Job summary

The Florida Department of Revenue is seeking a Personnel Services Specialist (SES) to support managers, supervisors, and staff on employee relations matters. This role requires strong critical thinking, organization, and clear written and verbal communication.

Based in Tallahassee, the position handles email workflows, responds to claims and hearings, assists with corrective action and accommodation processes, and helps prepare reports and training materials.

Qualifications

• One year of professional administrative experience.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to produce clear documents.
• Ability to analyze information, apply policies, and make recommendations.
• Experience managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Manages Employee Relations email mailbox and tracks assignments.
• Responds to reemployment assistance claims, questionnaires, and hearing notices.
• Supports corrective action, accommodations, grievances, and EAP referrals.
• Prepares reports and handles public records requests.
• Assists with special projects and training development.
• Processes Employee Relations cases and file closures in internal systems.
• Updates internal website, communications, and training materials.
