Job summary

Bay Area Community Services is seeking a Senior HR Compliance Generalist in California to partner with leaders, resolve employee relations issues, coach managers, strengthen workplace culture, and ensure regulatory compliance as we grow. Travel to Sacramento sites is required.

The role involves audits, investigations, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, with a focus on standardized processes and risk management.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in HR or related field required.
• SPHR/PHR certification preferred.
• Minimum four years of general HR experience required.
• Experience with employee relations investigations and coaching preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and payroll laws.

Responsibilities

• Investigates workplace issues, identifies liability, and facilitates resolution.
• Leads HR investigations with data collection, interviews, and corrective actions.
• Mediates employee relations issues and conducts thorough investigations when needed.
• Audits payroll, performance feedback, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Supports management in termination meetings and HR risk management.
