Embassy Suites By Hilton Dulles Airport in Herndon, VA seeks a hands-on Chief Engineer to lead engineering operations for the hotel. You will oversee preventive maintenance, asset protection, and capital expenditures while ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to brand standards.

The role requires strong leadership, HVAC/boiler certification, and 3–5+ years in hotel maintenance, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; college degree preferred.
• 3–5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel.
• Detail oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Engineering: manage preventive maintenance, inspections, asset protection and capital expenditures.
• Identify concerns and provide repair/maintenance solutions; supervise as needed.
• Control expenses; use cost-saving measures and efficient purchasing.
• Lead department and team for financial success, guest satisfaction and staff relations.
• Follow SOPs and brand requirements; set an example for others.
• Provide on-the-job training and one-on-one coaching.
• Collaborate with all departments to ensure excellent service on maintenance matters.
• Maintain safe work environment and adhere to regulations; handle incidents per procedure.
• Demonstrate workload management with attention to detail and organization.
