Job summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Dulles Airport in Herndon, VA is seeking a General Maintenance professional to support engineering operations, including property maintenance, repairs, preventive tasks and asset protection. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction and adherence to safety standards.

The position works with the Chief Engineer, upholds SOPs, and collaborates with hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required. CPO, and appliance repair certification is desired, or the ability to obtain certification based on property needs.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience is preferred. Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Engineering: Learn to maintain property assets and assist Chief Engineer with preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections and capital expenditures.
• Guest service: Respond to guest requests with a friendly, proactive approach and knowledge of property repairs.
• Identifies concerns and provides maintenance solutions by evaluating assets and recommending service actions.
• Follows SOPs and works with the Chief Engineer to learn and execute procedures.
• Collaborates with other departments to meet guest needs and completes duties inside or outside usual scope.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area following regulations and uses PPE as required.
• Self management: plan, organize and prioritize work, attend required meetings and adhere to attendance policies.
