Job summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Dulles Airport in Herndon, VA, seeks a General Maintenance professional to support engineering operations, perform property upkeep, and protect assets. Work with the Chief Engineer on preventive maintenance, inspections, and capital projects while delivering exceptional guest service.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 2+ years of maintenance experience, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required. CPO, and appliance repair certification is desired, or the ability to obtain certification based on property needs.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience is preferred. Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift. EEO AA M/F/Vet/Disabled

Responsibilities

• Engineering: Learn and assist with maintenance of property assets, preventive maintenance, inspections and capital expenditures.
• Guest service: Respond to guest requests with high level of service and knowledge of property, repairs, and maintenance.
• Identify concerns and provide maintenance solutions with appropriate managers.
• Follow SOPs and work with Chief Engineer to execute engineering procedures.
• Collaborate with all departments to meet guest needs and complete duties.
• Work safely and maintain a clean, compliant work area; use PPE as required.
• Self-management: plan, organise and prioritise work, attend required meetings.
