Job summary

Artheon seeks a Highway Project Manager to lead transportation design from concept through delivery in Berlin, NJ or East Brunswick. The role requires about 15 years of highway/transportation engineering experience and a NJ PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires approximately 15 years of progressive highway design and transportation engineering experience.
• New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Proficiency with roadway design and plan production software (Bentley/Autodesk).
• Experience managing transportation projects from concept through completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage highway and transportation projects from planning and design through final delivery, including scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables.
• Provide technical oversight for highway design, alignments, sections, and safety enhancements per NJ standards.
• Serve as primary client contact and maintain strong client relationships with agencies and stakeholders.
• Lead coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Oversee safety improvements and MPT planning and construction staging.
• Ensure designs comply with NJTA, NJDOT, AASHTO standards and guidelines.
• Review technical reports, contracts, plans, and cost estimates; mentor staff.
• Support business development and pursuit of new highway engineering opportunities.
• Provide technical direction to engineers and designers to maintain quality and consistency.
