Job summary

Artheon is seeking a Senior Highway Engineer with roughly 10+ years of highway design and transportation experience for opportunities in New Jersey. The role emphasizes leadership on planning and design tasks, development of alignments and safety improvements, and collaboration with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license in New Jersey or have reciprocal eligibility within a year, and are proficient with MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads or comparable CAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of highway design/ transportation engineering experience.
• PE license in New Jersey or ability to obtain through reciprocity within a year.
• Proficiency in MicroStation InRoads or OpenRoads (preferred).
• Familiarity with NJTA, NJDOT, and AASHTO design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead highway and roadway design teams on planning and design tasks.
• Develop highway alignments, typical sections, grading and safety improvements.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Evaluate safety improvements and MPT needs for construction projects.
• Ensure designs comply with NJTA, NJDOT, AASHTO and local regs.
• Prepare technical reports and CAD plans using MicroStation.
