Job summary

Artheon is seeking an experienced Highway Project Manager to lead transportation engineering projects in Berlin, NJ, or East Brunswick, NJ. Ideal candidate has ~15+ years in highway design and transportation engineering with a NJ PE license preferred.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and client communications while guiding a multidisciplinary team through project execution from concept to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Approximately 15 years of progressive experience in highway design and transportation engineering.
• New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Experience managing transportation projects from concept through completion.
• Strong knowledge of NJTA, NJDOT, and AASHTO standards and guidelines.
• Proficiency with roadway design and plan production software (Bentley MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, InRoads/Power InRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D).

Responsibilities

• Manage highway and transportation projects from planning and design through final delivery, including scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables.
• Provide technical oversight for highway design and roadway improvements.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients and transportation agencies.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Oversee safety improvements and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic plans.
• Ensure designs comply with NJTA, NJDOT, AASHTO standards.
• Support business development and client proposals.
