Job summary

Swyfft is hiring a Homeowner Underwriter to assess high-value and luxury home risks, using data, inspections, and imagery to determine policy terms. You will evaluate costs, coverage and mitigation features, working with agents to ensure accurate and timely placements.

Applicants should have 5+ years in HVH underwriting, familiarity with E&S, and experience with cost-estimating tools. This remote U.S. role requires strong judgment, organization, and collaboration with a motivated team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of underwriting experience with high value or high net worth homeowners risks.
• Experience with Excess & Surplus (E&S) market is a plus.
• Proficiency with replacement cost estimating tools (360Value, e2Value).

Responsibilities

• Apply underwriting expertise using submission data, inspection reports, and aerial imagery to assess risks.
• Evaluate replacement cost estimates and insurance-to-value on high value dwellings.
• Review protection and loss-mitigation features and recommend them where appropriate.
• Communicate eligibility, coverage terms, and underwriting requirements to agents.
• Collaborate with internal teams on underwriting projects and refine high value guidelines.
