Job summary

Molex is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to design and develop Active Electrical Cable (AEC) products for hyperscalers. Based in Lisle, IL, you will lead high-speed PCB design, work with DSP/SoC and Power Integrity, and collaborate with firmware and test teams to bring products to production.

You will oversee board bring-up, validation tests, and support from prototype to volume production, ensuring robust hardware across the full development lifecycle in a fast-growing data center

Qualifications

• Proven experience in developing high speed mixed signal hardware platforms.
• Experience designing with DSPs, SoCs, and processors.
• Experience creating schematics and managing PCB constraints.
• Experience with PDN/Power Integrity simulation.
• Experience with signal integrity simulations using IBIS models.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Hardware design of high-speed PCBs with communications chipsets and microcontrollers.
• Collaborate with signal integrity, mechanical, firmware, and test teams.
• Oversee digital and power aspects of PCB layout.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues from bring-up to validation and field support.
• Create test plans and perform hardware validation tests.
• Support fabrication and assembly from prototype to volume production.
• Assist with production handover and provide post-release support.
