Job summary

Molex is seeking an Electrical High-Speed Module Design Engineer to lead the design and qualification of active cables for AI and hyperscale data centers. You will drive concepts to high-volume production and partner with SI, hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams to meet performance goals.

In this role, you will mentor engineers, manage complex schedules, and travel to collaborate with global teams and suppliers. A strong background in high-speed interconnects and module design is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical or optical module design and development with leadership.
• Knowledge of analog circuit-design, signal integrity, and high-speed signaling fundamentals.
• Experience solving signal integrity, power integrity, noise, thermal, EMI issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and module design of AEC and ACC products from concept to production launch.
• Develop micro engineering schedules, identify risks, coordinate dependencies, and drive design activities.
• Collaborate with signal integrity, hardware, firmware, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing teams.
• Translate inputs from customers and marketing into design requirements.
• Develop manufacturable designs meeting electrical, SI/PI, thermal, EMI, and reliability needs.
• Resolve DFM issues with process and production engineering and suppliers.
• Engage with ASIC vendors and suppliers to evaluate technologies and roadmaps.
• Provide hands-on support during prototypes, lab characterization, and launch.
• Mentor engineers and guide multiple new-product projects.
