Job summary

Molex is seeking an experienced Senior Product Design Engineer to design high-speed connectors and cable systems for data center applications. You will lead projects from concept to high-volume production, collaborating with signal integrity, manufacturing, program management, sales and R&D teams to deliver best-in-class solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of mechanical design experience, FEA, GD&T and advanced 3D CAD, plus exposure to stamping, molding or insert molding.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in mechanical product design with leadership
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance analyses
• Experience with advanced parametric 3D CAD systems
• Design experience with stamping, molding and insert molding processes
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interconnect products including high-speed connectors and cable assemblies
• Collaborate with signal integrity, manufacturing, program management and sales teams
• Lead projects from concept to high-volume production
• Develop product specifications and testing documents meeting customer requirements
• Present concepts to internal teams and customers for major new products
• Support manufacturing and quality during launches; travel to sites
• Lead or mentor team members across multiple NPD projects
• Define opportunities with marketing and customers; consolidate inputs
