Job summary

Molex is seeking an Electrical High-Speed Module Design Engineer to lead the design and qualification of active electrical cables for AI, hyperscale data centers, data-storage, and telecom applications. You will drive module development from concept through production, collaborating with signal integrity, hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-performance interconnect solutions.

You will mentor engineers, engage with ASIC vendors, and travel as needed to coordinate globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in electrical/optical module design with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Analog circuit-design skills and understanding of high-speed signaling fundamentals.
• Experience addressing signal integrity, power integrity, noise, thermal performance and EMI.
• Basic knowledge of PCB materials, fabrication and board-level design cycles.
• Lab measurement, troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Experience developing electronic products in cross-functional environments.
• Ability to plan complex assignments and communicate with global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical and module design of AEC and ACC products from concept through production launch.
• Develop schedules, identify risks, coordinate dependencies and drive design activities.
• Collaborate with signal integrity, hardware, firmware, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing teams.
• Translate inputs from customers and partners into design requirements.
• Develop cost-competitive, manufacturable designs meeting performance targets.
• Resolve DFM issues with process and production engineering and suppliers.
• Provide hands-on support during prototype builds and qualification.
• Mentor engineers and guide multiple new-product development projects.
• Travel to collaborate with global teams and sites.
