Job summary

Molex is seeking an Electrical High-Speed Module Design Engineer to lead the design and qualification of active electrical cables (AECs) and active copper cables (ACCs) for AI, hyperscale data-center, data-storage, and telecommunications applications. Lead module development from concept through high-volume production, collaborating with SI, hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams.

You will mentor engineers, engage with ASIC vendors, and travel to global sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in electrical or optical module design and development.
• Analog circuit-design and high-speed signaling fundamentals.
• Experience in signal integrity, power integrity, noise, thermal performance, EMI.
• Lab measurement, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience in cross-functional product development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical and module design of AEC and ACC products from concept to production launch.
• Develop micro engineering schedules, identify risks, coordinate dependencies, and drive design activities to completion.
• Partner with SI, hardware, firmware, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, QA, sales, and suppliers to deliver balanced solutions.
• Translate inputs from customers, marketing, and external partners into design requirements.
• Develop cost-competitive, manufacturable designs meeting electrical and EMI requirements.
• Resolve DFM issues with process engineering, production, suppliers, and sites.
• Engage with ASIC vendors and component suppliers to evaluate technologies and roadmaps.
• Provide hands-on technical support during prototype builds, lab characterization, and qualification.
• Mentor junior engineers across multiple projects; travel as needed.
