Job summary

Mercyhealth is hiring for a facility maintenance role focused on keeping hospital buildings and equipment safe and operational. The position requires hands-on work across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry with a strong emphasis on documentation and safety.

The role is a 40-hour-per-week days shift, requiring effective communication with staff and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges within a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 years of documented commercial/industrial maintenance experience.
• Active M.E.C.H. Certification or equivalent healthcare experience with related certifications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to facility needs promptly to minimize risk and maintain safety.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to work orders within established timeframes.
• Monitor building areas for maintenance issues and report problems to facilities staff.
• Troubleshoot and maintain utility systems (boilers, chillers, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, life safety).
• Document tasks performed including time spent.
