Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks an analytics professional to support financial, operational, and clinical performance across the organization. You will leverage detailed ledger, patient, and procedure data to explain trends and quantify drivers, while mentoring junior analysts.

You will partner with hospital and physician stakeholders, perform ad-hoc analyses, and create executive-level summaries with actionable insights, supporting strategic initiatives and improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, statistics, or related field.
• 3 years in Decision Support and Data Analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to analyze financial, operational, clinical data.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed analysis of volume, revenue, cost, and profitability to explain financial results and drive understanding.
• Performs ad-hoc analyses for business trends or leadership requests.
• Analyzes variances vs budget, forecast, or prior year to assess performance and opportunities.
• Supplements financial analysis with operational/clinical data for context and holistic view.
• Uses rate/volume calculations to quantify impact of mix changes.
• Creates and presents executive summaries outlining findings and recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned.
