Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an analytics professional to support financial, operational, and clinical performance through detailed analysis and executive-ready insights. You will partner with hospital and physician stakeholders to quantify value drivers and inform major initiatives.

Responsibilities include ad-hoc analyses, variance analysis, and mentoring junior analysts while leveraging SQL, Tableau, and ETL tools to illuminate strategic insights across large datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or related field.
• Three+ years in Decision Support and Data Analysis; ability to analyze financial results, operational metrics, clinical outcomes and other datasets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed analysis of volume, revenue, cost, and/or profitability to explain financial results and enhance business understanding.
• Conducts ad-hoc analyses on topics dictated by business trends or leadership.
• Analyzes variances relative to budget, forecast, prior year, or benchmarks to assess performance and identify opportunities.
• Supplement financial analysis with operational/clinical data to provide context and holistic insights.
• Utilizes rate/volume calculations to quantify impact of changes in patient, procedure, payor mix, or other shifts.
• Creates and presents executive-level summaries outlining findings and recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned.
