Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a seasoned analytics professional to support financial, operational, and clinical performance. You will analyze volume, revenue, cost, and profitability, partnering with hospital and physician groups to explain trends and quantify key drivers.

The role includes ad-hoc analyses, variance reviews, and presenting executive summaries. Mentoring junior analysts, and leveraging SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, and Python for insights are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, statistics or related field; 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• 3 years in Decision Support and Data Analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to analyze complex datasets including financial results, operational metrics, and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed analysis of volume, revenue, cost, and profitability to explain results.
• Performs ad-hoc analyses as requested by Finance leadership.
• Analyzes variances vs budget/forecast and identifies improvement opportunities.
• supplements financial analysis with operational/clinical data for holistic insights.
• Uses rate/volume calculations to quantify impact of changes in mix or payor mix.
• Creates and presents executive summaries with key findings and recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned.
