Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a senior analytics professional to partner with hospital and physician groups on financial and operational insights. You will leverage G/L and patient-level data to explain trends, quantify drivers, and mentor junior analysts. Strong SQL/Tableau skills and healthcare experience are preferred.

You will create executive-level summaries and support major initiatives across finance and operations, balancing rigor with clear business storytelling.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree (or 6 years related experience) in a finance/business field.
• Minimum 3 years in decision support and data analysis, with financial and operational data skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to interpret large datasets to drive insights.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with strong communication.
• Preferred advanced analytics tools like SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Analyze volume, revenue, cost, and profitability to explain results.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses for business trends and leadership requests.
• Analyze variances against budgets and forecasts to spot opportunities.
• Combine financial with operational/clinical data for context.
• Quantify impact of changes in payer/patient mix using rate/volume calculations.
• Create executive summaries with findings and recommendations.
