Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks an analytics professional to support financial, operational, and clinical performance through detailed data analysis and reporting. You will partner with hospital and physician stakeholders to quantify key drivers and explain trends, mentoring junior analysts on the team.

The role emphasizes ad-hoc analyses, variance analysis, executive summaries, and cross-functional collaboration; a strong finance/analytics background and experience with data tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related field OR 6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
• 3 years in Decision Support and Data Analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) ability to analyze and interpret data including financial results, operational metrics, clinical outcomes, and other key datasets.
• Ability to work with large quantities of detailed data and illuminate higher-level strategic insights.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop partnerships across the organization.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and drives progress on major projects.

Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed analysis of volume, revenue, cost, and/or profitability to explain financial results.
• Performs ad-hoc analyses on topics requested by leadership.
• Analyzes variances relative to budget and forecast to identify opportunities.
• supplements financial analysis with operational/clinical data to provide context.
• Uses rate/volume calculations to quantify impact of changes in patient, procedure, or payer mix.
• Creates and presents executive-level summaries with findings and recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned.
