Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks an analytics professional to support financial, operational, and clinical performance across the organization. You will analyze volume, revenue, cost, and profitability, explain trends, and quantify the impact of drivers.

You will mentor junior analysts and present executive summaries with recommendations. Responsibilities include ad-hoc analyses, variance analysis vs budget, and integrating operational data to provide a holistic view of performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• 3 years in Decision Support and Data Analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Ability to analyze and interpret data.
• Ability to work with large quantities of detailed data and extract strategic insights.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to partner across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed analysis of volume, revenue, cost, and/or profitability to explain financial results and enhance business understanding.
• Conducts ad-hoc analyses as requested by leadership.
• Analyzes variances relative to budget, forecast, or prior year to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Supplements financial analysis with operational/clinical data for a holistic view.
• Quantifies impact of patient, procedure, payor mix changes using rate/volume calculations.
• Creates and presents executive summaries with findings and recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned.
