Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an analytical professional to support financial, operational, and clinical performance through detailed analytics and reporting. You will partner with hospital and physician stakeholders, explain trends using detailed data, and mentor junior analysts on the team.

You will conduct bulk analyses of volume, revenue, cost, and profitability, and produce executive-ready summaries outlining findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related field OR 6 years of related experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree
• 3 years in Decision Support and Data Analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and able to analyze/interpret diverse data sets
• Ability to work with large, detailed data and surface strategic insights that impact business operations
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines and strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed analysis of volume, revenue, cost, and profitability to explain results and enhance business understanding
• Performs ad-hoc analyses as requested by leadership
• Analyzes variances to budgets/forecasts to identify opportunities for improvement
• Adds operational/clinical data to provide context and a holistic view
• Uses rate/volume calculations to quantify impact of patient mix or payor mix changes
• Creates and presents executive summaries with key findings and recommendations
• Other duties as assigned or requested
