Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Finance & Analytics Professional to partner with hospital and physician leaders to deliver financial and operational insights. You will leverage detailed data to explain trends, quantify drivers, and mentor junior analysts.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in decision support, and the ability to drive major projects with minimal supervision. A Bachelor's in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• At least 3 years in decision support and data analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze large data sets and extract insights for operations.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
• Self-starter who drives progress with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Analyze volume, revenue, cost, and profitability to explain results.
• Perform ad‑hoc analyses for business trends and leadership requests.
• Analyze variances against budget/forecast and identify opportunities.
• Combine financial with operational/clinical data for context.
• Quantify impact of patient, procedure, or payor mix changes.
• Create executive summaries with findings and recommendations.
• Support other duties as assigned.
