Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced engineer to troubleshoot hardware, create and maintain test equipment plans, and lead capacity and obsolescence initiatives on-site.

The role requires a STEM degree with 5 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 3+ years), plus the ability to obtain ATF clearance and hold an active DoD Secret clearance. Relocation is eligible. Salary range 86,800–165,200 USD per year with benefits and incentives.

Qualifications

• STEM degree plus 5 years experience or advanced degree with 3 years experience.
• Experience with electrical/electronic testing.
• Ability to obtain/maintain ATF clearance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and provides rework instructions for product hardware.
• Create and maintain spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
• Create Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs for added capacity, new capabilities and obsolescence.
• Leads projects to reduce test time and improve test processes through analysis of predictive metrics.
• Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
• Maintain changes to the test equipment data package including drawings, test instructions, manuals, and system software.
• Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings.
• Performs risk assessments and supports the programs risk register reviews.
• Leads projects and is responsible for execution.
