Job summary

RTX is seeking an on-site Production Test Engineer to support test processes across product lifecycles, troubleshoot hardware, and drive efficiency and test yields. You will lead RCAs and risk assessments while maintaining test equipment documentation and BOMs, with relocation eligibility and a strong emphasis on security clearance readiness.

The role requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, electrical test experience, and eligibility to obtain DoD/ATF clearances.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with electrical/electronic testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and provides accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
• Creation and maintenance of spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
• Creation of Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs to add additional capacity, new capabilities and equipment obsolescence.
• Leads projects to reduce test time, improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields.
• Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
• Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software.
• Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plans.
• Performs risk assessments and supports the programmes risk register reviews.
• Leads projects and is responsible for execution.
• Multitask in a fast-paced environment
