Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a qualified Test Engineer with DoD Secret clearance to troubleshoot hardware, manage obsolescence plans, and lead root cause investigations. Onsite role with relocation eligibility.

You will develop test flows, maintain test data packages, and perform risk assessments while guiding projects to completion. A STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 3+ years is required, plus ability to obtain ATF clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience with electrical/electronic testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and provides accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
• Maintains spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
• Creates Bases of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs for capacity and obsolescence.
• Leads projects to reduce test time and improve test processes through analysis of trends and failure modes.
• Develops test flows and contributes to test capacity analysis.
• Maintains changes to the test equipment data package (drawings, test instructions, manuals, software).
• Assists in fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of product or test equipment.
• Leads root cause investigations and presents findings using fault trees.
• Performs risk assessments and supports program risk reviews.
• Leads projects and is responsible for execution.
