Job summary

RTX is seeking Production Test Engineers to join our onsite team in Tucson. You will troubleshoot hardware, maintain test equipment and develop cost estimates for capacity expansions, while leading root-cause analyses and risk assessments. This role requires a STEM degree and the ability to obtain ATF clearance.

Ideal candidates have hands-on hardware integration and experience with data analysis in a manufacturing setting, and can multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with electrical/electronic testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an ATF.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and provides accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
• Creation and maintenance of spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
• Creation of Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs to add additional capacity, new capabilities and equipment obsolescence.
• Leads projects to reduce test time, improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields.
• Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
• Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software.
• Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plans.
• Performs risk assessments and supports the programmes risk register reviews.
• Leads projects and is responsible for execution.
• Multitask in a fast-paced environment
