Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced hardware test engineer for the Tucson area. You will troubleshoot product hardware, develop test flows, manage obsolescence, and lead root-cause investigations while maintaining test equipment data packages.

A STEM degree with significant testing experience is required, plus the ability to obtain ATF clearance. The role emphasizes project leadership, risk assessment, and cost estimation through BOEs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 3+ years experience.
• Experience with electrical/electronic testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and provides accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
• Create and maintain spare parts and test equipment obsolescence plans.
• Create Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs for capacity, new capabilities and obsolescence.
• Lead projects to reduce test time and improve processes through analysis of trends, failure modes and test yields.
• Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
• Maintain changes to test equipment data package including drawings and manuals.
• Assist in non-routine fault isolation and repair of product or test equipment.
• Lead root cause investigations and present findings with fault trees and knowledge point plans.
• Perform risk assessments and support program risk reviews.
• Lead projects and ensure execution.
