Job summary

Fidus Systems is seeking a Hardware Designer to architect and deliver high-performance electronic systems. You will work with FPGA, software, and SI/PI teams to define system architectures and design robust, production-ready hardware.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior engineers and contributing to full product development from concept through validation. The position offers a fully remote work arrangement with travel ~15% domestically and internationally, along with a competitive compensation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years in electronics design with leadership capability.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed circuits and multi-layer PCB design.

Responsibilities

• Architect system- and board-level designs with cross-functional teams.
• Select components and design high-speed circuits up to 32Gbps SerDes.
• Conduct simulations (LTSpice) and bench validation.
• Collaborate with FPGA, software, and SI/PI teams for integration.
• Lead design reviews and produce technical documentation.
• Create parts libraries and schematic capture with constraints.
• Develop test plans and oversee lab bring-up and verification.
• Mentor junior engineers and support pre/post project activities.
• Lead regulatory certification testing.
