Job summary

Fidus is seeking a Hardware Designer to architect and deliver high-performance electronic systems. You’ll collaborate with FPGA, software, and SI/PI teams to define architectures and bring up hardware from concept to validation.

You’ll work on DDR, PCIe, SerDes, and multi‑layer PCB designs, while mentoring junior designers and contributing to robust documentation and testing across a range of projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in electronics design.
• Experience with DDR4, PCIe Gen4, SerDes.
• Strong knowledge of multi-layer PCB design.
• Ability to mentor junior designers.

Responsibilities

• Develop the system and board level architectures in collaboration with software and FPGA teams.
• Provide schematic design and component selection for high-speed circuits up to 32Gbps SerDes.
• Conduct design simulations using LTSpice and verify with bench tests.
• Work with SI/PI to analyze critical nets and ensure signal integrity.
• Lead design reviews to meet Fidus quality standards.
• Prepare documentation, test plans, and procedures for hardware.
• Lab bring-up and in-depth verification of hardware prototypes.
• Mentor junior/e intermediate electronic designers.
