Job summary

Fidus is a global high-tech design firm seeking a Hardware Designer to architect and deliver complex, high-performance electronic systems. You will work with FPGA, software, and SI/PI teams to define architectures and design high-speed circuits, from concept through bring-up and validation.

You will tackle challenging DDR, PCIe, and SerDes designs across the hardware lifecycle, mentoring others and ensuring robust, production-ready designs with thorough documentation. Remote-friendly with travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of direct electronics design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to lead a design technically and as a mentor.
• Strong understanding of high-speed circuit and multi-layer PCB design.
• Experience with DDR4, PCIe Gen4, SerDes and related interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop the system and board-level architectural design in collaboration with software/FPGA teams.
• Provide schematic design and component selection for high-speed circuits and memory busses.
• Conduct design simulations using LTSpice and validate with bench tests.
• Collaborate with Signal Integrity for critical nets analysis and design reviews.
• Create parts libraries and schematic capture with embedded layout constraints (OrCAD/CIS).
• Develop comprehensive test plans and lab bring-up procedures.
• Mentor junior designers and support cross-functional teams.
• Lead regulatory certification testing and documentation.
