Job summary

Fidus Systems in Seattle seeks an experienced FPGA Designer to deliver complex FPGA-based systems for clients. You will define architectures, implement RTL, integrate IP, run simulations, and close timing while supporting lab bring-up and debug.

This role spans video, communications, storage, signal processing, and requires collaboration across FPGA/DSP, hardware, embedded software, verification, and mechanical/thermal teams to deliver high-quality products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing RTL/Verilog/VHDL on FPGAs.
• Experience with video systems and high-speed memory and bus interfaces.
• Proficiency with Xilinx/Intel tool flows.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex FPGA/CPLD-based systems, including architecture, custom development, integrated IP, simulations, and timing analysis and closure.
• Design FPGA-based systems using Xilinx and Intel devices and tools.
• Participate in design reviews (HW-SW interface, I/Os) to ensure quality standards and customer requirements.
• Perform lab testing, debug of prototypes with hardware/software engineers.
• Prepare customer prototypes demonstrations and author test plans, design docs and user documentation.
• Provide technical insights to customers during pre-sales and implementation phases.
