Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to lead specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop care plans, and provide custom splinting and orthotic fabrication as part of a collaborative team.

The role requires a PT or OT license (CHT credential preferred) and at least 3 years of upper-extremity rehab experience. You will work with surgeons, therapists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehabilitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient's age and condition.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OTAs, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom hand/upper-extremity orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and post-surgical conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedists, physical therapists and other clinicians.
