Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and fabricate custom orthoses, working with a team of surgeons and therapists on interdisciplinary care.

The role requires 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience, a current PT/OT license, and a CHT credential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential; CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plans of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions suitable for age and disability.
• Document delivery of occupational therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of assistants and students.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Coll​aborate with hand surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
